Benign Positional Vertigo
is a benign but distressing condition of brief but severe vertigo or spinning
usually brought on by position changing such as rolling over in bed to one
side or by looking
up or bending down. The vertigo or spinning may be accompanied by nausea and
occasionally by vomiting. The episode usually resolves quickly by turning
back away from the position that provoked it. A "hangover" effect may last
for several minutes.
Benign Positional Vertigo is by its name Benign but can be frightening. It may
lead to falls and incapacity as far as ability to drive without fear of uncontrolled
although brief vertigo. Treatment
consists of non-invasive repositioning of the loose particles in the inner ear
that cause the vertigo. Until you are able to visit your Specialist you may take
DizzyStop® for relief. The condition often
resolves spontaneously over a few days to a few weeks.
Mechanism of Action
Clinical studies have shown that the herbal in DizzyStop® is believed to act through a hormonal mechanism reducing the abnormal stimulation to the brain that causes the symptoms of Benign Positional Vertigo. Additionally, these studies reveal that the herbal in DizzyStop® acts
to calm the contractions of the stomach and intestine.
